Thankful Thursday

This week's list of 5 things big or small that I'm thankful for:

1. My husband supports my writing career. Yay!
2. My daughters' swimming lessons - they will be good swimmers by summer!
3. A good friend who is recovering from basal cell skin cancer removal. I'm thankful they got all the cancer (a relatively large area) and pray she recovers quickly.
4. My sister went to church with me finally! I think she liked it. Yay!
5. Mochas at McDonald's. It's is $1 cheaper per cup than Starbucks AND for every 5 you buy, you get 1 free. In this economy that is something to be thankful for.

What are you thankful for? Link up at Truth 4 the Journey by clicking the button below, or just comment here. Thanks for stopping by as always! I'm still thankful for you!

Despite its flaws...I'm thankful to be living in America, regardless.

I'm thankful for not being picked for jury duty! I'm thankful that my younger son's baseball team won their first two games (it was freezing here last night!). I'm thankful for the daffodils that I've seen popping up (although not in my yard). I'm thankful that I only have 5 weeks of work left and then I'm off for the summer. (Wait, did I say that last week?!) I'm thankful that my parents are still living and doing well (they're in their 80's).

Your sister went to church with you? Well it's about time!!

Rumor is that she really enjoyed it. Not to mention she got a coffee cup, candy AND a pen. Her son got a backpack. Someone from the church dropped off cookies at the house AND she and her son received a letter thanking them for going.

I can't WAIT to see what free gifts she gets on her second visit.

(I know. I know. The greatest gift of all..but those cookies were good too!)

Thankful ... this short term new job and all the ways it is challenging me.

These challenges are pressing me to call out for the Lord with new vigor.

Thankful...He knows me. loves me. has redeemed me. Oh...Jesus is a wonderful man/God to be thankful for!!!

1. My Wife doesn't have a blog. Who knows what she would write about me.
2. My Sons are still both very kind people.
3. A new friend who I met yesterday.
4. My family still enjoys the church we go to
5. Free lunch today. I didn't bring anything so this will be nice.

Today, I'm thankful that I know of a church that gives free cookies. I'd be more thankful if I knew where that church was located.

So thankful for your friend and that your sister went to church with you :) Your list is precious.

My daughter said, Mommy if I wrote down everything I was grateful for it would be larger than my school text books. I said, that's ok...get to writing (smile) you never know whose hands it will end up in and whose life it will change for GOD's glory.

Love ya Kelly. Visiting with you is like chatting with a long time girlfriend at the kitchen table.
