Merry Christmas

Dear Blog Friends -

I am so excited to begin preparing for Christmas! I love the holidays! I love planning for Christmas and the joy of gift giving, cooking, spending time with family and special friends, and most of all recalling the gift of Jesus birth.

In order to fully and completely enjoy the holidays, I have decided to take the ENTIRE month of December off from my blog! If I feel led by God, I may do a post, and if you follow my blog you will receive notification of that. But unless its God's plan, MY plan is to take the month off.

Please continue to visit me at my Examiner page. I will also be making guest contributions on December 2nd, 16th and 30th at the Titus 2 in Action blog. So visit me there as well.

I pray you have a joyous, wonderful and special Christmas. May you remember that Jesus is the reason for the season!

Chatty Kelly

Hey Kelly!
I hope you enjoy this month as you look to the celebration of Jesus' birth. I'll be breaking, too, at the end of next week. We need to do that now and then!

May the peace of Christ rest upon you as you enjoy this time of preparation.

Love you,
Karen

I can totally understand this hiatus, as I had to do the exact same thing- only a bit earlier to accommodate the planning and executing of several family celebrations to honor our son, who is visiting from California. He leaves tomorrow morning.

It's been so much fun to have him around here for the past 10 days.

See you after Christmas! Merry, merry.

If nobody posts a comment by tomorrow, I'll do it for them. The biggest amount of comments I've seen was over at my friend Sue's blog. She had 145 comments on one post, and we're going to beat that. The comment-a-thon ends on New Years Eve at 12:00. So ready, set, GO POST SOME COMMENTS!

OK EVERYBODY, SECRET COMMENT MEETING TIME!

Good news, my fine bloggy friends! We have reached 60 comments. Now we only have.... um, let's see... wait one sec while I get a calculator... I call a five minute break!

Invisible reader said...

The meeting returns....

Hello everybody. According to my calculations, we need 84 more comments to reach our goal of over 145- and our goal of making Chatty Kelly happy over the holidays!

And a special congrats goes out to MyAdhdMe for making the third comment.

Don't forget- this is a Christmas greeting place, not a chat room! So Ediefan (whoever you are), NO ASKING ABOUT THE TIME IN TEXAS!

Thank you, and have a very nice day.

Ediefan said...

Sorry, Invisible Reader. I really want to look up the time zones!

Invisible reader said...

Then go to Google! Oops, what have I done! This place is a greeting station, not a chat room! Like I said at the meeting. Oh,darn. Kelly can't find out about the meeting! Her Christmas comments are a surprise! Oh, today is not my lucky day.....

Invisible reader said...

*******INCOMING MESSAGE***********
Two things:
1.Ediefan is really me. I just want Kelly to get some more Christmas comments!
2.Merry Christmas, Chatty Kelly. Love the family photo!

Invisible reader said...

Because, as you can see....

Invisible reader said...

It is 2010!

Invisible reader said...

And even though we didn't meet our little goal (ha ha, little) of above 145 comments....

Invisible reader said...

We probably will with this extremely long post-contest meeting of mine!

Invisible reader said...

We held secret meetings.

Invisible reader said...

CJ said...

My blog address is www.csdgpro.blogspot.com

No, Chatty Kelly, for I represent all those who read blogs who remain silent. Yet I have an identity of my own, that must never be revealed....

CJ said...

Darn!

CJ said...

WAIT A MINUTE. You said that you would tell me about your job yesterday, and you never did! So tell us!

Invisible reader said...

Now, no need to bully, girls. I will now tell you the story about my job.

My name, as you may know, is Invisible Reader. I represent all those who read and follow invisibly, those who make unpopular blogs popular again.

I have a job that I thoroughly love. Every time somebody has something special on their blog, I stop by and fill up their comments page with comments of love and sweetness. I have just gotten this job, so I don't have time to stop at yours.

I, too, have my own identity. But it remains secret amongst the sea of blogs and chat. Yet one day, in the near coming future, my real identity shall be revealed. And it just may become one of you. We will wait and see....

So anyways, that is my job. I hope that one day, some of you will go into disguise and work alongside me to make someone's day a little brighter.

CJ said...

Invisible reader said...

OK. New goal. 200 comments. 3. 2. 1. GO!

CJ said...

Great job, Invisible Reader! I hope you visit MY lonely blog!

CJ said...

Invisible reader said...

I wonder if Sue can beat that...

Invisible reader said...

This place is turning into a chat room!

CJ said...

I thought that was what you wanted...

I once was one who sat in trees,
Who loved to feel the morning breeze,
A song of life, a song of hope,
A song of woven skipping rope,
A song of summer, song of fall,
And all that passes through us all,
The snowflakes sang, the birds would tweet,
On the little window seat.
And then a voice called me inside,
I knew I had nowhere to hide,
A shadow's blackened groping hand,
Taught me to do things I can't stand.
The ways of light and remotes and dials,
And yet all I could do was smile.
It carried me like a newborn breeze,
And I forgot about the trees.
But if I listen, right or wrong,
I hear the fragments of a song.
