Thankful Thursday 4/16

Five things big or small that I am thankful for this week:

1. Small glimpses of God in every day life.

2. Income Taxes - it means my husband has earned income. In this economy with so many out of work, that is something to be grateful for.

3. Friends to encourage, inspire and spur me on.

4. New Clothes. Yes, that is superficial, but soemtimes a new outfit is just the pick me up a gal needs. And when you wear your new jeans for the first time and get TWO compliments, well, you know you made a good purchase...off the clearance rack, of course! (Michael Kors is my new favorite clothing designer, and Marshall's has him for less!)

5. YOU! Yes, you, reading this post. I appreciate so much that you have taken time to visit my blog and I hope you come back often. I love the encouraging comments, but even if you never comment - the fact that you took the time to read my writing means so much. THANK YOU!

So what are you thankful for this week?

I was going to say I was thankful for you too but Linda beat me to it. Ok I will say it anyway.

I am thankful that I hurt my back this morning. I am thankful that my allergies are bothering me. I am thankful that my family wasn't hurt worse last week in their accident. I am thankful for that raccoon that keeps eating all my bird food. Even these things were gifts from God.

I'm thankful for a good cup of coffee. I'm thankful for the greeting my dog gives me each time I come home. I'm thankful that my older son confides in me and my younger son still cuddles with me. I'm thankful for the "delay wash" feature on my washer. I can delay it until after everyone has had their morning shower and then be doing laundry while I'm at work! We rent our house, and I'm thankful that our landlord has never raised our rent in the 9 years we've lived here! Amen!

Yes...the new clothes...a big pick me up...I love new clothes and it's always great when there is the "extra" money to purchase a new outfit or two.

We all have so much be thankful for! I am desperate of a 'new outfit' pick-me-up! I think I'm going to treat myself with my first "full-time" paycheck at the end of the month:-)

LOL on #4. A great-fitting pair of jeans can make all the difference sometimes. I enjoyed reading your list.

Great things to be thankful and a new outfit always makes me feel better as well. I like the new way to look at Income Taxes.

I wasn't online yesterday but I love your thankful list Kelly.

We have so much to be thankful for. I was looking at the photos of my Grandchildren and as I cried I thought of the fact that GOD in His love has allowed generations to be born and we have the ability to see it. I see not only my children but my grandchildren and prayerfully my great grands when time. For that today I am so thankful.

I'm also thankful that you are online! Bless you.

Thanks for shedding the light on the need to be thankful for taxes. That one can be difficult :-)
