Kelly,
I love the new look. Edie did a great job.
I don't know you personally but what I do know...It's so you!

My youngest said you look like Barbie Princess and you know from a three year old girl that is high praise!

Well look at you!! How fun!!

Chatty Kelly is looking fine
With a new look of Edie’s design.

My sisters all shine and I look so plain
I’m sure that if I win I’ll be delivered from shame.

I want to dance, I want to sing
I want my blog to have some zing

Then you can sense that joy I feel
When you drop by to share your bloggy zeal.

I Love your make-over.
That is a great picture of you too.
To everyone else, CK is the photogenic one. Pick up a camera and she has the pose every time. I'm always the one with their eyes closed or the spinach in her teeth...if I ate spinach...which I don't....but if I did...it would be there.

OK, gotta go think of a poem now.

Edie said...

Hi Barbie Princess! LOL How do the girls like their look?

Best Wishes Everyone!!!

Last night I had the strangest dream,
I lived inside my blog.
I don't remember all of it,
My brain was in a fog.

I looked for something fun to do,
A way to pass the time.
Alas, there wasn't anything,
My blog was past it's prime.

I wondered what I would have done
If I had only known,
That I would be stuck living there
In that barren zone.

I longed for links and tags and fun,
For something new to see.
I'm not sure how I'd change it,
Surely someone would help me.

I'm really not that hard to please.
Not into glitz and glamour.
And if it looks to busy,
I'd surely start to stammer.

Then I woke up from my dream,
I made a big decision.
I'd re-design my blog myself.
I was on a mission.

I sat and stared and stared and sat,
I knew not where to start.
I know so little of these things
It almost broke my heart.

I had ideas all waiting,
For all the world to see.
But it's hard to do such things when your,
My ADHD Me!

Love YOUR new look. I will advertise this on my blog later today...I am using someone else's computer right now and the mouse is totally backwards, it's like scrolling while you're watching it in the mirror...so I will wait until I can navigate better.

Anyway, this sounds great. I don't need a makeover since I just got one...

Hugs,

Susan

My brain,
It is a whirlin'
My hair,
It is a curlin'
This contest
gets my thoughts a swirlin'

What do I know
about style?
My blog shouts
creative denial.
Concerning blog ideas,
I'm pliable.

Pick it out
for me.
Any color or format,
I'm easy.
Right now my blog
is cheesy.

The End

:-) Your blog is Very cute! I'd love mine to be personalized.

I love the new look,
your blog is devine.
Thanks for the offer,
But someone just redid mine.

Please come check it out.

Kelly,

I love your new blog design
but can't make too much of it,
there's that whole flattery thing
and thou shall not covet!

Oh Lea, Oh Kelly, Oh Edie,
surely you can see I'm needy

However, there's my friend, Tracey
who just blogged last week
and I think it would be better
if she were given this treat!

OK, friend...I just wanted to tell you your new blog look is terrific! Your picture is gorgeous and I love all the new stuff! What fun!

Enjoy your fresh look! It's revitalizing!

Great new look...and I have enjoyed reading everyones creative poems!

Bonita said...

This blog is so you! I love it! Edie must do awesome work.

Right now I don't need a makeover considering I just had one this past year. Plus the fact that I'm way too tired to be poetic at the moment. However, I have considered starting a new blog just for devotions so I'll pray about it and see if any inspiration or answers come and I may be back to enter another day.

The Patterson 5 said...

Oh I just love all this poetry! Poor ADHD's almost broken heart!

ericka said...

Hi Chatty Kelly-
I really do love your blog. I don't have a blog, I just read them, and I hope that is o.k. You really have such a heart for authenticity and transparency in writing. Thank you for that. I've been challenged lately to live my life as authentically as I possibly can. You know, that sometimes makes the "comfortable feel uncomfortable" if you know what I mean! I like the new blog look. Thanks for what you are bringing into my life, and for what you bring out to others!

By HIS grace I am what I am and that's good enough for me

But my blog you see is really just
a blog wanna be

The joy in my heart I can hardly contain

then you open my blog & go green with disdain

Don't get me wrong I love green

But two much of anything is not a good thing

So give me color or tone on tone
But please, please give me something of my own

HisPrincess said...

I'm not poetic at ALL!

I will have to give this some serious thought....

The holy grail ADHD? Surely thats plagerism???LOL!! Love that song!

I sang my way through your poem, you are a true artist!

Sorry Kelly...this is YOUR blog! And it looks fabulous!

Here's my 2nd entry:
I’m designed for a Purpose
But I’m not sure people can tell

When you look at my plain blog
It doesn’t express my personality well.

Blogging is a comfort to me
And I would like my joy touch

All the friends who drop by to read.
I hope to win, thanks so much.

DAY 2

Whenever there's a contest,
it never hurts to say,
How wonderful the judges are
And how they make your day.

That Chatty Kelly, she's so sweet,
And oh so pretty too!
Did I mention I am sorry
I was so mean in my youth?

Also did I mention that
She's younger than I am?
She's always been the nicest one,
A darling little lamb.

And Edie, She's at rich gifts,
Her talents unsurpassed.
I feel I've known her all my life,
her friendship, it will last.

I go to check her blog each day.
It makes me feel so blessed.
She makes me look inside myself
and puts my mind to rest.

If only she's delete just one,
the bubbles, their a test.
If I skip cooking one more night,
One may call CPS. (*)

And Lea, Dear Sweet Lea,
From Shabby Olde potting Shed.
I have to come and see your blog,
To you I just felt led.

Your blog is oh so wonderful.
I see you have a horse,
You also love Halupsi.
I'd make you some of course!

Although I do not know you well,
No more your blog I'll miss.
I'm on my way this very day
To add you to my favorite's list!

I'd never try to win a prize
Or to coerce the host.
But I bet your blogs are read each day,
The most from coast to coast!!

Have you met my friend Tracey?
Shes over at Cheese and Whine...
And she's asking for a new look
a really nice design

She's got a son Kaiden
she loves with all her might
and yes, she'd love a blog makeover
but finding time..not in daylight!

So Lea, Edie, Chatty Kelly
What do you say?
Can we bring this sweet gal some good news
and brighten up her day?

Tracey said...

Roses are red,
Violets are blue,
My blog is old and tired looking
It could use something new!

Edie said...

Oh my goodness this is getting difficult! Are the contestants actually trying to coerse the judges!? No... not these kind, sweet, lovely, well-behaved, Christian women! LOL.

Keep the poems coming! We are enjoying them very much!

Hi Kelly,
Girl you will never know how appropriate your words were to me today on my blog. It actually spoke to a deep fear I have for Zoie. If I ever do get to meet you in person I promise to share but for now know that GOD USED YOU BIG! THANK YOU! THANK YOU!

Oh and I LOVE YOUR NEW LOOK!

Oh my blog, what a mess
It's all my fault
I must confess!

I just couldn't leave well enough alone
If only I could have chatted with you on the phone.

Edie, maybe you would know what to do.
When my header disappeared into the clear blue.

I had the design, it just needed your touch
Help, I'm in over my head way too much!

Widgets, CSS, templates are all very confusing
Watching me try is very amusing :)

This turtle girl is sometimes slow
but she's determined to make her blog a go.
God has given her something to say
B His Girl needs your help badly today!

Lisa said...

Pick Me! Pick Me! Pick Me!

said the small little blog on her knee

She'd been here before

Overlooked she was sure

So she insisted on trying again.

I'd like a pretty header

Put my old one in the shredder

A soothing soft color -

But certainly not duller

I need a way to praise my Lord

& show him He is adored

And along the way

impart my heart

& encourage someone each day.

Okay here goes lol..

A Bloggy Makeover Prayer..

Dear Lord..
Are you listening up there.
I need a blog makeover
Hear my bloggy prayer.

I’m not asking for a facelift
Nor to have a fabulous body.
All I want is a new makeover
For my dear ole bloggy.

I’m not asking for much
Nothing fancy, or extravagant
Just a little fru-fru-ness like..
Pretty, cute, or elegant

Chatty Kelley, Edie and Lea
Bless their hearts today
For blessing all us ladies
With this awesome giveaway.

So Lord..
This prayer to you I raise..
And if by chance I win..
You'll get all my Bloggy Praise..

Amen.

DAY 3

A poem a day
I rack my brain
It's starting to get difficult.
I'm running out of what to say
I feel just like a mifficult.

I think you know my blog needs work
There's no style or direction
With your help I'd jump for joy
And be like lanperflection

As I mentioned once before
I am not hard to please.
Something basic, something fun
And something mandaknees.

I'd love to when
But as you see
I'm starting to lose focus
I'm running low on rhyming words,
I think I'm averocus.

I hope this poem makes sense to you
A deedle deedle deuce.
After all, this type of writing
Worked for Dr. Seuss!

My ADHD Me said...

WIN, WIN

I meant win...not when!!

Where is that edit button!!!!

Edie said...

I love to laugh and I'm doing lots of laughing as I read these. You guys are coming up with some great stuff! :D

Beverlydru said...

(My deepest apologies to the beloved Dr. Suess for hijacking his wonderful work for this bloggy poem. I thought it was hilarious that ADHD Me mentioned Suess, I was already on that track.)

I have brains in my head. I have feet in my shoes. I should be able to steer myself, any direction I choose.

But when it comes to my blog’s appearance, I need some clearance to go further and higher, to look better and brighter.

Help is on the way and help is what I need. I’m not very visual and my ideas go to seed.

And so I stood puzzling and puzzling, what can I do? I need some ribbons. I need some tags. I need cool packages, boxes – even bags. And I puzzled and puzzled 'till my puzzler was sore. Then I thought of something I hadn't before.

What if I could win a Rich Gift from Edie? Brought to us by Kelly who’s such a sweetie. They’re assisted by Lea who has a shed you've got to see.

And will I succeed? Yes indeed, yes indeed! Ninety-eight and three-quarters percent guaranteed.

I don’t think plagarism should count, so you can disqualify this without a doubt. But it was fun for me - hope it was for you too.

Tracey said...

I know how to sew,
I know how to cook
What I need some help with
Is getting a new look.

My blog needs a header,
A side button or two
I have no clue how to do this
So I'm looking to you.

Please help a stay at home Mom
With no money to spare.
I would love to win a makeover
Pick me if you dare!

Pam from alertandorientedx4 said...

OK...here goes nothing:

My daughter does my myspace stuff
Facebook is pretty basic
I like to kind of add some fluff
Maybe something Gaelic?

My template’s straight from Blogger’s choice
I think it’s name is “Moto”
I’d like my blog to have MY voice
Maybe include a photo?

(please choose me....my blog is boring :-) )

Lisa said...

Tired & Weary
Eyes so bleary

Sleep deprived
How have I survived?

Browsing blogs
I should go for a jog

Back to my blog
It should be flogged

Lacks festivity
Needs progressivity

Reeks of commonality
Longs for originality

Isn’t the internet fun
To provide rhyming words by the ton

But I think I’m about spent
And I know you get my intent

Just pick my blog & be done!

Beverlydru said...

Now it’s down to the wire with this contest you’re staging
and I’ve got something dire in my thoughts that are waving.

I’ve puzzled and puzzled ‘til my puzzler was sore and I
thought of something I hadn’t before.

ADHD Me is my buddy because I have OCD.
It’s may be all initials but it’s trouble you see.

If I gave some time to my plain old header
I could use Photoshop and make it much better.

Since she just learned linkies, I think she needs help more.
I think she should win the blinkies and new designs galore.

So that’s what I have to say about that – I’m done.
Do what I say, I’m bossy. And this was fun!

My ADHD Me said...

OH MY....
OH MY....

OH MY....
Thant was so nice ...that I'm...I'm....Believe it or not....I'm speechless.

Janet Roller said...

My blog, my blog
What can I do?
To make it look like
something new?

I can write and rhyme
and sing a song
But when it comes to design
my blog is all wrong

It's dark and it's drab
without much to see
"Living Oak" should say "life"
if we're called to be trees!

I would love to win
this contest, that's true
Make me over! Cries my heart-
You know what to do!

My ADHD Me said...

Day 4

I thought that blogging would be fun,
But I never knew,
That I would meet such kind new friends,
I didn't have a clue.

I thought I'd write,
No one would read,
No one would ever see.
But people came
They left comments
Well, most were left by me.

I've also learned so much of God,
Than just reciting prayer.
I've learned to really talk to him.
And he does really care.

I'd love to win this contest
I must admit that's true.
But also I've already won.
By meeting each of you.

It may sound mean or selfish
I'm quite sure it's not a sin.
But even though I feel so blessed.
I still would like to win. :)

Chatty Kelly said...

Oh what excitement!
Oh what fun!
Edie, Lea, how will we
pick just one?

These poems keep improving,
they're better every day.
If I wasn't judging,
I'd surely want to play.

Some are funny,
some are sweet
Some of the bloggers
I'd really like to meet.

I wish I could
pick all of you
It's so hard to know
which one to choose.

So keep on entering
Keep playing to win.
Tomorrow is the last day,
then the contest will end.

On Sunday we'll announce
the blog make over winner.
Someone will be celebrating -
will they go out to dinner?

Edie at Rich Gifts & Design
will work without a fee
She'll do a really great design,
like the one she did for me!

But if you don't win
No need to dispair.
You can HIRE Edie to make over your blog.
She the best designer anywhere!

So give her a call next week,
if you aren't the one to win.
Her price is right, her designs are great,
and she is a wonderful friend.

My brand new blog is

Featuring 3 kids,1 dog, me
And my Fella
So, come on! Whadayasay?
Some color, some style,
Some kind of graphic
Yeah...that's the ticket
To bring me some traffic!

Lisa said...

This is really getting difficult
To be so cleaver night after night
To rhyme and rhyme and rhyme
I don’t think I’m up for the fight
I may just have to call it a night
But please don’t forget
I’m not done yet
I'll be back one more thyme

My ADHD Me said...

Day 5

WHAT a week!
I must admit
I'm glad that it is done.
This rhyming makes me crazy-er.
But it was lots of fun.

It's Friday after midnight.
I'll make this short and sweet.
I'd love to win a make-over.
It really would be neat.

I'm turning my computer off
And then I'll go to bed.
With thoughts of brand new (blog stuff?)
Dancing in my head.

My blog is needy and I am greedy
It’s true and I’ll tell you why
I want the fluff .... YES ! all the stuff
That you said could be mine

A better header with awesome art
A blogskin that looks just ‘so’
Tabs and buttons and sidebar graphics
And pretty columns in a row

A place of my own, to share my thoughts
Where friends can come and visit
And share what God’s doing in their lives, too
Now, that’s not too much to ask, is it?

Pam from alertandorientedx4 said...

OK...didn't do every day, but here's my last ditch effort:

I wake up mornings in a fog
Out of bed, at the keyboard
Ready to blog

Green is good, my blog is green
But at 6 a.m., it’s a little obscene

It should reflect my personality
It may be my stab at immortality

Contests and challenges—win a makeover!
If not my body, then my blog
The cost of one—not too much clover

My husband drives a 12-year old Jeep
My Suburban’s a ‘91
I know my friends all think I’m cheap
But I’ll be gloating when I’ve won!
