Digging Deeper

Do you garden? I'm not a fan of gardening. It's so much work! The worst part are the weeds. You need to pull even the tiniest weeds. It's better to get them while they are small. Those tiny little ones are the monsters of the patch a week or two later. The weeds that are close to your plants rob them of moisture and nutrients. And the worst part is, most weeds require pulling out all of the root system.

Isn't sin that way too?

To read the rest of this post, head on over to Titus 2 in Action, where I'm a guest contributor every other Wednesday, starting today!

Small weeds not taken care of turn into huge weeds with deep roots. Definitely! :O)

Not a fan of gardening????? I will forget you said that. Gardening is fun. But you are right about the weeds. I can tell you all about weeds.

The best way to get them out of your garden is to never let them in. But sometimes they get in anyway. If they do, as long as you get them out right away it is no problem. The longer the weeds are left in your garden the harder they are to get out. Their roots take hold and before you know it they go to seed and begin to multiply. You might even think it is easier just to live with them than pull them out. I myself keep pulling. I guess they are a lot like sin.

I used to work on an organic farm- no weed killer means big back killer for farm workers. The weeds absolutely go crazy and it is near to impossible to keep up with them. Why do they flourish and thrive so much faster than the actual plants you're trying to grow?!

I LOVE to garden, but the weeds are always trying to take over. And sin is always "crouching at the door" wanting to take over, too.

Thanks for the link: I look forward to following it! I love being a Titus 2 woman, encouraging younger women in their walk with the Lord & in their families.
