Thankful Thursday - 8/26

Things I am thankful for this week:

1. I am thankful that I had the opportunity to know Sonya's dad, a wonderful man who left a huge legacy of faith to his family. He will be missed so much, but what an incredible man of honor. It was a pleasure to have known him.

2. I am thankful for the pastor who said "We can't bring him back, but we can make sure we go where he is." I know where I'm going when I die. I'm so thankful that Jesus paid the price for my sin, so I can be in Heaven.

3. I'm thankful for a friend who gave me a big pile of clothes that don't fit her after baby #3. Woo! Thanks, Gwen.

4. I'm thankful that Gigi got to help her 5th grade teacher set up the classroom. She had the best time, and it was great relationship building with her new teacher.

5. I'm thankful for these last 2 weeks before school starts to love up on my kids. My little Cici starts kindergarten, and while she is ready, and I am ready, it will still be a big deal!!!

Oh is that last one heading out the door to school? Yes that is a big deal. This year, my oldest is a senior and so next year will be a biggie for me. Great list.

Oh I teared up with your little one going off to kindergarten. She will have a great year. Kindergarten is the best!

Enjoy these last days of summer with your beautiful girls.

When my youngest started kindergarten and I had some space - every day! - I remember saying to my mom, "I think I might be able to be a nice person!" *grin*
We're going shopping today for school supplies. Even when they're in grades 8, 6, and 4 - it's still a big deal.
Hope you thoroughly enjoy these last weeks of summer.

And that thing about the long days and short years? Yeah. I agree!

I'm beginning to think starting back at kindergarten with our last, oh, let's say, two kids, would be the way to go. My baby is a senior. Empty nest syndrome is having an effect on me already.

If ever there was a day to post my thankfuls,it's today, I think I'll go over there and do that.

Thanks for sharing yours.

I'm sorry but I simply refuse to believe that "our" little CiCi is starting kindergarten. We MUST redo the math!

Hi sister,
I know it's a big deal with your baby going to kindergarten for your whole family. I pray that she LOVES her big day and new class and teacher and that you, my friend, find enjoyment and special times while they are at school. You are a great mom:)

Thank you for all of your support and love during this difficult time, Kelly.

Knowing my dad is in heaven has given me God's perfect peace in the midst of the turmoil.

I am so thankful for what Jesus did for me by offering salvation.

I am sure sending your kids to school will be bittersweet. You are a precious Mom - taking the time to love on them now so that they will remember next week.

Hey, someone in my 4year olds preschool class wrote I Heart You (with a picture of the heart) on her preschoolers hand and now my youngest has asked me to write a note on her hand tomorrow. LOL! It's a great idea.

Love you!
Sonya
