Thankful Thursday - 5/28

Five things big or small I'm thankful for this week:

1. For the men & women who serve in our armed forces, as well as their families who sacrifice on our behalf every day.

2.Getting together with Sonya for coffee on Tuesday. It's become our weekly ritual. We've been friends for 15 years, and our friendship has weathered many seasons beginning with her being a newlywed, and me single, to our current both being married, with her having 6 kids and me having 2.

3. Only waiting 15 minutes when I got my car inspected. Are you kidding me? That was so quick and I am so thankful, since I had two 5 yr olds with me! (my daughter & her friend).

4. The little things my husband does like make the coffee every morning, walk the dog, and take our daughter to school. His love language is truly acts of service.

5. God as the center of my life. Just thinking about a life without Jesus makes me depressed. With all the bad things in the world, I would have NO HOPE without Jesus. He makes my life worth living, and my death only temporary. I love that guy. :-)

What are you thankful for this week?

Great List. You always have the perfect words.

I'm interested in what #4 would be...in reverse?? Your women readers may need encouragement in that area.

I'm thankful for Thumbs. Try taping your thumbs to the palms of your hands for 24 hours, THEN you will appreciate them like never before. i.e.-Holding things, working a zipper, and things of that nature.

What a blessing to have friendships with women that are growing and maturing in the Lord and give grace.

What a wonderful thankful list Kelly. I make the coffee in the a.m. and hubby make the herbal tea in the p.m. for us (smile).

I'm thankful today for EVERYTHING and especially for the favor of GOD on my husband in some things right now. Awesome!

I love you.

Love your list! Where would we be with Jesus? I can't even fathom it. My mind and heart don't want to go there.

Oh oh Oh (hand in the air) I know what you meant with #4. I am just finishing the book and now I am an expert on love languages. I'm not telling what mine is though.

Wonderful list. Thank you for sharing. You know that tune was from Inspector Gadget, right? Not the twilight zone... LOL Although I guess it could have been the twilight zone, except when you wrote "self-destruct", I automatically thought Inspector Kelly.

"Gadget!!!!!!!"

Your Tuesday ritual sounds wonderful. Wonderful. Well, except for the part about drinking coffee, but I can get over that image if I just think about getting together with a friend every week. *grin*

Hey, I started Leviticus this morning. How are you doing???

Isn't it wonderful to have a helpful hubby? Mine has taken our younger son to school 99% of the time for the last six years! He also makes dinner 3-4 times a week! We are very blessed wives!

Only 15 minutes to get your car inspected!! It would have taken me that long to get out of the car, lock it, unlock it to get something out that I forgot, lock it, unlock it to get a book to read while I was waiting, lock it, take a sip of water, drop my keys, pick them up, go in the wrong door, start chatting with the stranger sitting at the desk in the wrong dept, get lost looking for the right dept, find the right dept, explain to the guy what I need done, start a casual conversation with him, go back outside to move my car to the right dock, drop my cell phone behind the seat, find it, lock the doors, remember that he told me to leave them unlocked, unlock the doors and then try to remember why I was there in the first place!
