Thankful Thursday - 3/4

The 5 things, big or small, I am thankful for this week:

1. Cici's 5th birthday and the gift of my daughter. Thank you Jesus!

2. Snow Days (#1 & #2!) The rare opportunity to play in the snow and enjoy lazy days at home!

3. My generator - we lost electricity for 15 hrs in the snow, but the generator kept us warm, well fed, and generally happy throughout it all. yay!

4. Snow Day (#3!) spent at Sonya's house with more sleigh riding and fun, fun.

5. School Days! When the children go back to school after too many snow days at home! (they went back today, after a 2 hr delay).

All of those were great things to be thankful for.

I LOVE the snow days because they are such a treat in Virginia. I'm thankful for them but also thankful that we live in a state where they aren't a regular thing. We get to look at the snow and see how beautiful it is instead of such a chore that it would be if we lived in the north!

I'm also thankful they go back to school today!

Yea! I am thankful for...

1. My husband having safe travels!
2. My husband desperately missing me when he does travel.
3. I, being by myself, slept through the night without waking up and being scared (yes, I'm a wimp!!).
4. The dog slept through the night, too, without waking up and barking!
5. I'm almost finished with silly paperwork!

Snow is kind of like relatives who come for a visit. Good to see it come, but after a while, good to see it go. :-)

I'm thankful my friend from Baltimore stopped by to see me.
And thankful we got the chance to walk on the beach while she was here.
No snow. Just white sand.

I'm thankful for my lovely community where we know everyone, everyone's families and we look after each other.

Well I'm still jealous of not getting in on all that fun. Just kidding. :)

I bet it feels good to get back to normal too. :)

WAHAHAHA! I just read ET's comment. She's as funny as you and ADHD-Jo! I used to tweeze my grandma's whiskers. Gee I hope I never need my grandaughters to do that. LOL!!
