Snow Day - Virginia

10" of snow! Everything is closed, and I suspect school will be out several days. The girls loved it! This is our first big snow in a long while, and since we don't have snow pants, notice Cici's pants. It's called saran wrap over boots & jeans...and it did in fact keep her dry! The picture below is awkward, as I was trying to show the pants, but she was leaning down so her whole self would show in the picture! :-) The aspect makes her legs look about 1/2 their normal length.

Now you have entered my world. It is below zero today with the wind.

I think I might have some children snow pants that you can borrow. :)

Hey! We only had 6 inches! But it was beautiful! Thankfully,it's starting to melt!

I LOVE the idea of the saran wrap! Wish you had called me and told me about it! All of our clothes are saturated!! I'm starting laundry in just a bit! Have a fun day!

Love ya,
susan

I am glad you and your girls are enjoying the snow! 10" here would barely delay school from opening a couple of hours..ha. Now that it's March we start crossing our fingers that the snow is finally done.

Not only do you look snow ready but you look so stylin'!! I'm ready for GiGi to fall backwards and make an angel.... And I think CiCi just wanted to show off her Dora cap! Such fun (at least, for a few minutes)....

My boys were hoping for a snow day here but it didn't happen. The girls look so happy in the snow.

Love your pictures!

People may laugh at saran wrap but when you live in Virginia, you don't ever buy snow boots for your kids ahead of time because there is a 99% chance they will outgrow them and never wear them.

Did you know that 86.3% of all statistics are made up on the spot?

That's a norm here in WI, and the road can be slicker than snot and we still have school:( It's below zero here with the wind too.

My kids have 2-3 pairs of snowpants, boots, and tons of mittens, scarves, and hats. I only wish we didn't always get so much cold and snow:)

Enjoy the snow and do some sledding:) Yeah for snow days!

So God gave Cici snow for her birthday? What a Father we have!

Looks like you all had a great time. I love the saran wrap idea. I'll keep it in mind if God ever gives one of my girls snow for their birthday. :D

off topic - I forgot to mention, that book review you heard about, it will publish tomorrow. Just a little mishap. I hate when that happens.

So are you ironing grilled cheese sandwhiches for lunch today? :)

What a great way to spend a snow day!

For some strange reason I decided I could not give away a pair of snow pants that I bought several months before we moved. So, yes, I brought snow pants to live on the Mediterrean....

1. Wow, I can't even fathom.

2. Happy Birthday next Monday!

3. Yes, I schedule my next haircut when I'm paying for the one I just got. Otherwise there's never an empty slot.

Maybe you should add Creative and Chatty Kelly! Your kids are so cute. At the end of the week, our temperature is going to be 75 degrees. No snow days for us. Love to see pictures of it though! B
