After (pure joy!)
Chatty Kelly & CiCi
So much to be thankful for this week!!! Where do I begin?
1. My 9 yr old, Gigi was baptized on Sunday! Praise God that she made the decision herself. No pressure from mom & dad. She was sprinkled as a baby, but now has made her own statement of faith. I'm thrilled. We celebrated by going out to lunch after church. (see pics above) Our extended family is celebrating tonight complete with cake.

2. Sonya (Truth4theJourney) and I went out to dinner on Tuesday. JUST US! No kids, no hubbies. It's truly rare we get out like this (about 4 times a year), and complete laughter ensues. Thanks Sonya! And thanks LeRoy for keeping the kids.
3. My sister, Mary (MyADHDMe). She always has my back. If I don't get comments, buster, she is leaving me 100 to make up for it. If anyone says something that is not 100% encouraging, she's there. I think she'd defend me even if she knew I was wrong. Awww, sisters.
4. Dental insurance. Gigi supposedly (per the dentist) needs braces on her BABY teeth, to make room for the permanent tooth that doesn't have room. Then we'll need real braces again later. Cha-ching! $$$ (I think the dentist is trying to make up for his falling stock portfolio.)
5. Perserverance. I'm thankful that it's mid-February and I am still working out, and still reading the Bible regularly. Keep it up Kelly! (yes, I am encouraging myself!) Nothing is impossible WITH God!

You do have a lot to be thankful for! Sounds like a wonderful week for you.
Blessings.
Can I add an Amen to item #1. I hope that one day my boys make the same decission. They too were sprinkled but I hope they one day ask to be baptized too.
My brother backs me up when I am around to hear it but he stabs me in the back when I an not there. Oh Brother!!!
I supported my dentist's habit when I was young. He liked coke and I don't mean cola.
I am right there with you on item #5. I am still working out and I am still reading. Today I will be readinng from 1st Corinthians.
Lets be thankful.
Seeing your daughter's smile and joy jumped off my dashboard. I had to see this first. How precious! May God continue to do a mighty work throughout her life and in CiCi's. Your nod of approval from the Lord is your best comment. We are hopefully adding a little sparkle. Yes, we are thankful Lord! You are the BEST! B
Leave it to Greg to make your comments interesting:)
Congrats on your daughter being baptized. My Dylan has been contemplating it for awhile. Even the thought is exciting.
Praise God for the great things going on:)
What a blessing with Gigi! And, aren't Girlfriends so important?
Lovingly,
Yolanda
I love the photos of your beautiful family. Makes my heart sing. And ADHD... yeah, she's pretty amazing. She must be working today so we can talk nice about her without making her squirm. LOL
Beautiful, beautiful family.
Yes you have much to celebrate and be thankful for.
Kay
Those pictures are wonderful and ohhhh...how precious about her being Baptized. I loved your list as well and I have sisters and I soooo get it. :-)
Hi Kelly,
Rejoicing with you over your precious daughter's decision to be baptized. Praise God for our children turning to the Lord at a young age!
And your sister sounds like the best - you are blessed, girl!
Wonderful Thankul list - thanks for sharing.
She's beautiful--inside and out! And you have set for her a wonderful example....
Precious, precious smiles. What a great list.
And as one who desperately needed braces to be able to chew my food, I'm thankfl for the technology to fix crooked teeth and poor bites!
1. Yay for Gigi!! I thought I heard Angels rejoicing!
I love your pictures. We rarely ever get to see you. Gigi has your beautiful smile.
2. I just love those girls nights out!
3. ADHD-Jo is the bomb-diggety... and it is clear she is a wonderful sister to you. You're both the best. I mean that. :)
4. I'm really glad you didn't fall for that. Do you know how many people would? Last time I went to the dentist I had nothing wrong with my teeth but he wanted to do two root canals and a deep cleaning on all my teeth. I hate dishonesty.
5. Yay for you!!
Those 2 pictures of GiGi need to be framed and hung side by side. the nervousness "before" picture is such a huge contrast to the "after" picture. She really really is beautiful! (inside and out)!
Dentists-Just got back from getting JM's 4 wisdom teeth pulled today... no dental insurance. ugh
Someone MUST have been committing blog-identity theft. You know very well that I am not the type to leave all those messages just to make you feel better. Feelings??? Bah Humbug!! (oops...no lying allowed), ok, maybe it was me.
(but I will ALWAYS have your back!)
Wii Fit---OK, I've been a slacker....too busy leaving comments...yeah...that's it!
Go Kelly, I'm so excited that you new years routine is still going strong.
Sisters are the best!
I had so much fun at dinner. We need to make it a monthly event this year, not just quarterly!!
So proud of your daughter, too. That smile says it all!!
Sonya

What a fabulous week you've had.
You have reminded me that I'm working out, but I'm not reading. Must rectify that!
Blessings
