Are You Bubbling Over...or lukewarm?

Today, my friend Linda at 2nd Cup of Coffee is spotlighting me as one of her loyal commenters at her blog. So head on over there, after you read today's post here, and read her interview of me. She has 175 followers, so the fact that she picked me, well you know it thrills me to pieces! If you aren't a regular of hers, she is hysterical and I "Ken Lee" her blog. (That's can't live without it, for those of you who aren't her regulars).

****Today's Devotion****

One of Cici's favorite church songs is "It's bubbling, it's bubbling, it's bubbling in my soul, there's singing and laughing since Jesus made me whole! Folks don't understand it, I cannot keep it quiet...it's bubbling, bubbling, bubbling, bubbling, bubbling day and night!"

That song completely and effectively describes the conversion process. Once you become "on fire" for God, it just bubbles in your soul so much you can't help but sing. God wants us to bubble over for him. And folks don't understand it!

My sister (My ADHD Me) shared with me that when I first started sharing my faith (I cannot keep it quiet), she thought it was a phase I was going through. I have to laugh at that (There's singing and laughing!). She's found out not only is it not a phase, but that it may be contagious. I believe it may be starting to bubble in her too. She just needs to turn the fire up a little and it will come to a full boil!

So what about you? Are you bubbling? If not, how can you turn up the heat?

Chatty Kelly

CiCi singing her "Bubbling Song" 8/2008

Revelations 3:14, 15 -- I know your deeds, that you are neither cold nor hot. I wish you were either one or the other! So, because you are lukewarm—neither hot nor cold—I am about to spit you out of my mouth.

Philippians 4:4 -- Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice!

1 John 4:12 -- No one has ever seen God; but if we love one another, God lives in us and his love is made complete in us.

"I cannot keep it quiet" is the cutest part--oh, that little expression on her face! The thing that keeps me from bubbling over, I think, is that I hardly rub elbows with people who do not already know Christ--until lately, that is. There's something really neat going on in my life that I can't talk about yet, but it's an experience with people who are interested in knowing more about Jesus. Great post, Kelly, as usual! Thanks for doing the interview so late last night!

Oh my gosh! This needs to be on YouTube - think of how many souls she would bring to Jesus:-) What a cutie pie!

I hope I'm bubbling over most of the time, but I admit that I can just sit and simmer sometimes.

I think I am somewhere between that luke warm and full boil stage. I am turning up the heat though so watch out. I am on my way.

Very cute video! I'm not lukewarm, but I'm private about it. Just the way I've always been. It's a very intimate relationship that I keep that way. Not sure why. hhhhmmm...something maybe think about.

I LOVE THE VIDEO!! How adorable.

I have to confess, I feel more like I'm simmering right now. NOT LUKEWARM! I'm praying about starting or finding a small group Bible study. I need more conversation.

I'm on my way to check out your interview. Congratulations!

off topic - You would like carrot muffins if you tasted them. I know you would. :)

Have a great weekend!

I think I am in between. Sometimes I am on fire and can't stop talking about the Lord and other times I am in the simmer phase just trying to process it myself:) Loved the interview.

This is wonderful. She's so adorable!!

I'll have to go over to your friends blog to read your spotlight.

I would say that I'm on fire for JESUS but I think the real question is not what do I think but what does He think about how I am in my love toward Him, my appreciation of Him and my witness about Him. I want to be sure that I'm pleasing HIM.

Praise the LORD.

Thanks Kelly for this encouragement.

Well hello.
Aren't we becoming Miss Popularity!! lol

I didn't go to any blogs yesterday... so don't take it personally, you silly goose.

Of course the ONE day I don't visit you, you write about me! ha.

I remember the first time I realized how "on fire" you really are. It's when I read your article about being a drip. That is STILL my favorite of everything I've ever read that you have written.

I'm off now (no kidding), off to 2nd cup of coffe to read more about you!

Linda's description of you totally fits! You are bubbly and I love it! My heart's cry is that He will bubble out of me, overflow from my life, mouth, arms, legs and whole life!

I was ROTFL until I cried hysterically and shared Ken Lee with my entire family. Love it!!
