Pay It Forward

I was visiting Edie at Rich Gifts, and she has posted a "Pay It Forward" Challenge on her blog. This is a great way to bless others with a surprise in their mail--using your time, talent, and love.

Here are the rules as posted on her blog: The first 3 bloggers to leave a comment stating "I want to play & pay!" will receive a hand-made gift from me. Those 3 bloggers promise to post this challenge on their blog (meaning they too will ‘pay-it-forward’, creating a handmade gift for the first 3 bloggers that leave a comment on their blog!!)

The gift can be any price range--though I'm thinking that keeping it small will be sufficient--and you have 365 days to make/ship your gift!! Obviously you must be willing to send me your U.S. only (sorry) mailing address. International shipping is just too high.

As for my gift...well the only thing I make "hand-made" is cookies. Then I thought, would I want to receive homemade cookies from someone I don't know personally? Not really. (Okay, they could have anthrax in them or something, couldn't they??) So I'm going to fudge on the rules a bit, and send you something that I find fabulously on sale if you don't know me personally. Because my hobby is finding great deals, that counts...sort of. Believe me, you don't want anything I made. I'm just not crafty.

If you want to participate, just leave a comment telling me so "I WANT TO PLAY AND PAY!" Then repost this on your blog so that you can pay it forward to 3 others, and so on, and so on, and so on.

You can still leave a comment even if you don't want to participate, just don't post the magic words.

I win! I win! I win!...unless family is exempt. In that case I lose! I lose! I lose!

Your call!!!!

It may be worth it for me to win, just to see if I can actually come up with a craft. I know YOU know, but does the rest of the bloggy world know my incredible LACK of crafting ability.

Could be interesting!!!!!

P.S. You'll also save on shipping.

No pressure.
Your call!!!

I forgot to write,
"I want to play and Pay!"

(do I win twice now?)

Ok, now I KNOW I'm being a pain, but if you won't send cookies, why would you send fudge?
(fudge on the rules)
ouch...sorry..

People that don't play these games with Chatty kelly just don't realize the depth of the gift that they are passing up.

I think everyone has such high expectations when reading your blog.

My ADHD Me said...

They enjoy your writing so much that they don't want you to feel obligated to go out and spend time shopping when they are hoping you are writing.

My ADHD Me said...

Personally, I know that you can shop AND think of things to write at the same time.

My ADHD Me said...

I wish I could do that. I can barely talk on the phone and walk at the same time.

Have a Great Day!!!

Hey look. You are almost at the 25 mark!!!

You sisters totally crack me up.
I am relieved to see I'm not the only one that is not crafty. LOL. I also considered baked goods but I haven't figured out how to get things delivered other than in small crumbs. I'll sit this one out since handmade in this house means "handmade by someone else"!

Wow this looks fun. I've seen it on other blogs and think I'll have to have a go at it... have to admit, the 365 days to do it kinda has something to do with it. lol
I BET YOU CAN CRAFT! YOU CAN DO ALL THINGS THROUGH CHRIST WHO STRENGTHENS YOU! Cmon Kelly, "I can I can I can!" lol
Holykisses,

I saw the number of comments for this post and I though; "how did she get so many comments so fast? Then I saw that someone left the gate open and "you know who" is on the loose. So I guess I am on time. However I did this just before Christmas so I am going to give someone else a chance. Now if no one else signs up then I want to do it but I am sure with the quality of your readers you will get plenty of volenteers.

International shipping charges are high....on this side of the ocean too.

How is that ADHD Me always beats me to posting to these things anyway??

Is that Notorious Missionary in Spain causing trouble again?

It always amazes me that no matter what you write about, you ALWAYS end up with SO many comments.
I'm willing to bet a lot of $$$ that you hit the 25 mark!!

Oh can I play again!? Can I!? Huh!? Can I!? Haha! Ok I'll give someone else a chance. :D

I'm sorry it took me so long to get over here today, I had the girls and it's just not possible to blog with them here. :)

But guess what we DID do today hmmmm? We went to the post office. Does that sound exciting? Well guess what we mailed today?? Yep, your gift is on the way. Now let me also say that it isn't much at all so please keep expectations low. :D

I really think you should do something to add your own personal touch to whatever you send out so that it will at least be faux hand made. LOL!

Just now reading the comments.

I'm thinking I need to remind your sister that she played my pay it forward. How many crafts does she want to make? LOL.

And I thought you were gonna send fudge instead of cookies too. I'll take food from you. I trust your germs. Wahahah!

I'm having too much fun. Love ya!

It must be your imagination. I didn't leave you a comment today.
You must be seeing things...
Monkeys aren't ALWAYS funny. Especially when they try to make a craft.

You know, you really are popular. You got A LOT of comments.

They like you! They really like you!!!!

I think your sister likes you, she really, really likes you!!!!!!!!! If you ever doubt that, you just need to bookmark this post. She's such a trip:)

Well, then again, maybe she was just reeeeeaaaaaaaalllllllyyyyyyyyyyy bored and doesn't really like you that much.

Or maybe she had her fingers glued to the keyboard and just couldn't go anywhere else.

Or maybe she was trying to get back at you for some childhood memory.

Or maybe it was a cry for help because she had her hair stuck in the drain again.

Oh that girl...

Well, with all said...I think monkeys were very, very funny today, and I think she really, really, really, really likes you!!!
